We will a supportive safe and open minded environment for tweens/teens to grow and learn how to bring the yoga off the mat! Focusing on a sense of lightheartedness and community as we move through this WEEK of fun, yoga and friends!
Pre-teens and teens are especially vulnerable to developing low body image, stress imbalances such as anxiety or depression, overwhelming insecurity and confusion. Learning the practices of yoga early can help them navigate this confusing time period.
During this week we will take part in a physical yoga practice, moving with our breath to create body awareness, still the mind and encourage inner as well as outer strength. Tools like breath work and mindfulness practices/meditations will be broken down and be made accessible for any situation. Positive thinking, self-confidence, service work and creativity will be explored through arts, crafts and activities. We will learn about the power of positive thinking and how our words matter, as well as practices of self-acceptance, self-confidence and self-love. We will work on embracing ourselves through voice empowerment and writing exercises encouraging the best possible version of ourselves possible!
Teens are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and bring a healthy snack. Camp runs from 1:30 -5:00 pm daily. For ages 11 and up
