A workshop for children grades 3-5. While anxiety is natural, these days our children seem to be plagued with; nerves, anxiety, poor peer relationship, self -doubt and way too much pressure. This will be a 1 hour workshop for children grades 3-5, focused on providing yoga & mindfulness as a tool to manage the stressors that come along with school, sports, extracurriculars, and let’s face it, LIFE.
We will explore breathing techniques, postures & movements as well as cognitive control tools to promote self-control, attention, body awareness, stress management and healthy sleep patterns in a way that makes it easy, fun & attainable for your child!
Your child will leave with tools such as
Mindful movements-- slow deliberate movements to calm body & the mind.
Ex. cat cow, breathing w/arms
Breathing techniques-- belly breath & 3 count breath to regulate body & mind
Big physical movements-- playful & creative ways to physically release stress & burn off some steam
Positive affirmations-- positive self-talk
Tangible tool made by your child with intention!
