About Us

At Happy Buddha Yoga our focus is on bringing joy, compassion, and kindness
to the practice of yoga.

Kelly Kamm of Happy Buddha YogaKelly Kamm
Kelly is the Director of Happy Buddha Yoga.
She has been a devoted yogi for years. To her, yoga is not about how much of a pretzel you can twist yourself into, it's learning about yourself on your mat and taking that into your daily life so that you can be a better person... but that doesn't mean you won't be wrapping your leg behind your head in her class!
Kelly's classes are a vigorous blend of poses fused together in a fun, dynamic flow. She believes in the power of music to inspire and uplift so she combines all different types of music, from Krishna Das to Led Zeppelin and beyond, in her flow. Her challenging classes invite you to leave your mind behind and wake up your spirit. She is always the student as well as the teacher, most recently completing another 200hr certification at Laughing Lotus NYC under the mentorship of Dana Flynn.
In addition to Dana, Kelly is honored to have studied with and been influenced by Cyndi Lee, Dharma Mittra, Kathryn Budig, and many other great yogis.

David Kamm of Happy Buddha Yoga David Kamm
David, Kelly's husband, runs the studio along with her. David comes from San Francisco where he spent a lot of years playing music, everything from punk to country. After he got tired of lugging his drums from club to club he got involved in Anger Management and Domestic Violence Group Facilitation, and spent time in San Quentin State Prison...facilitating not living!
He teaches Beginning and All Levels Yoga and brings a fun, upbeat vibe to the studio.
He has his 200 hour certification...and got it right here at Happy Buddha. :)
Stay tuned for another punk rock or Grateful Dead class.

Susan Garver of Happy Buddha Yoga Susan Garver
Susan was first introduced to yoga through the PBS series featuring Lilias Folan when she was about four years old. Practicing in front of the TV with her sister, the seed experience that “yoga is fun”, was planted early. She became interested in deepening her practice and completed the yoga teacher training course at the Integral Yoga Institute of New York. Completing a vinyasa teachers’ training course with Seane Corn, helped her build a stronger understanding of alignment and transitioning poses, as well as the confidence to teach. Susan hopes to bring the joy of her yoga experience to Happy Buddha, where she is delighted to practice both as a student and as a teacher. Swami Satchidananda, who founded the Yoga Institute said: “If you can remember only one thing about yoga, remember this: Yoga Is Fun.”
